Lamenting is not Depression.

I want to reiterate something I posted about in a previous blog

Lamenting is not depression.

Lamenting is God’s idea. Lamenting is something that comes from the mind of Christ. It is not a man-made idea. Therefore, lamenting is holy, blameless, good, and Biblical. (John 16:20, Ecclesiastes 3:4, James 4:9, Matthew 9:14-15). Lamenting is not a sin. Lamenting is acceptable and pleasing to God. (Psalm 51:17)

Lamenting is expressing sorrow, grief, pain, injustice, and hurt.
Lamenting is expressing all these things KNOWING that there is hope and joy in Christ.

My prayer for you all:
Father,

May the God of hope fill my brothers and sisters with all joy and peace IN BELIEVING so that by the power of the Holy Spirit they may abound in hope. (Romans 15:13) I pray that my brothers and sisters would receive the grace to BELIEVE in order that they can not just have hope, but abound in it! Amen.

About morgangascho

I grew up in Iowa, USA (famous for growing corn). I'm contemplative, I love writing, and blogging has become a hobby. Writing worship music is a way to engage in sweet conversation with the Divine Creator of the Universe, Jesus. He is my life. I am hidden in Him and I pray that someday I will know what that means. Until then, I'm seeking His glory, waiting for the day when it will all be revealed to me.
