Being Saved isn’t the End

Being Saved isn’t the end. Being saved is the beginning of a relationship with Jesus. It’s not the end goal. The end goal of life is not salvation. It’s just the beginning. It’s the beginning of beauty. It’s the beginning of a love relationship with God.

For Believers, this is GOOD news! We don’t just get saved from spending eternity in hell. (Daniel 12:2) We don’t just get saved from the wrath and judgment of God. It’s not just about us escaping torture or getting out of the worst situation imaginable. Don’t get me wrong – not spending eternity in hell makes me VERY VERY excited, but that’s just part of it.

God has saved us FROM and has saved us FOR. God saved us from evil things, and He saved us for Heavenly things. Therefore, it’s much more exciting to dream about what He has saved us FOR than what He has saved us from. We know He has saved us from lies, from torture, from evil, and from eternity in hell. We do not fully know what He has saved us for, though! And we can let the pondering and the imagining begin, now.

…What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him – 1 Corinthians 2:9

Can I just say….WOOHOOO!!!!! This is AWESOME! What person on earth DOESN’T want to hear this? How is this NOT attractive?! A God who WANTS and has even PREPARED things for people. Not just things, but GOOD things for those who love Him – things SO GOOD that people can’t even IMAGINE if they try! Our brains can’t even handle the GOODNESS and the DELIGHT God prepared us for! Amen and amen! THIS, my friends, is easy to say amen to.

Anybody want blessing?
Anybody want to have God PREPARING for you good things?
Anybody want to try to imagine the best future they can think of and still be immeasurably outdone by the goodness of God just because He loves you and wants to bless you?

Who WOULDN’T say yes to this!?
(People who don’t know God….that’s who. Sadly, that’s the Truth. They don’t know what they’re missing out on.)

Who DOESN’T want to have an awesome future?
(Nobody. That’s who. Everbody wants to have an awesome life. Everybody wants to love and be loved. Everyone wants to be impacted and make an impact. It’s part of being human.)

This means multiple things for us.

2. Wanting Jesus and His blessings makes the most sense of any desire I’ve come across in all of life.

3. What God has for us now and in the future is good.
…And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. – Romans 8:28

About morgangascho

I grew up in Iowa, USA (famous for growing corn). I'm contemplative, I love writing, and blogging has become a hobby. Writing worship music is a way to engage in sweet conversation with the Divine Creator of the Universe, Jesus. He is my life. I am hidden in Him and I pray that someday I will know what that means. Until then, I'm seeking His glory, waiting for the day when it will all be revealed to me.
