When has the Lord loved you the most?

When has the Lord loved you the most?

I thought of this question the other day, and the answer stunned me.

It’s a simple Truth, that the Lord’s love doesn’t change based on who I am, who I say I am, or based on what I do. He doesn’t love me more when I’m in Africa. He doesn’t love me more when I’m swimming on the beach. He doesn’t love me more when I’m eating in a restaurant. He doesn’t love me more when I’m serving children. He doesn’t love me more when I’m on holiday on spring break. He doesn’t love me more when I’m facing my fears. He doesn’t love me more when I obey. He just loves me as I am.

It’s simple in theory, and profound in experience and application.

About morgangascho

I grew up in Iowa, USA (famous for growing corn). I'm contemplative, I love writing, and blogging has become a hobby. Writing worship music is a way to engage in sweet conversation with the Divine Creator of the Universe, Jesus. He is my life. I am hidden in Him and I pray that someday I will know what that means. Until then, I'm seeking His glory, waiting for the day when it will all be revealed to me.
